There are quests you're given by people and there are Quests that you take upon yourself. The quest from others are your standard sort. The Quest you take yourself is your motivation, what drives you out into the wilderness to explore and fight monsters when staying home in a cozy house by a fire was a possibility.
- Personal Quests: This is like a personal principal or themes that drives you out into the world instead of staying safe at home. Something like: "Use my strength to help those in need." "To find lost treasures." "To live up to what it means to be a dwarf/elf/halfling/etc" "To show my family that I am capable of great things"
- Fellowship Quests: You are all together for a reason that drives you forward. Yes you all met with that fight where you exhausted yourself and became friends, but what's the reason you're all together. This can be something as simple as "To be known as the greatest band of murder-hobos in the Forbidden Lands" "To build my your own Stronghold. With blackjack and hookers!" "To remove the demonic scourge from the Ravenlands." "To undermine the Church of Rust and see it's downfall."
- Did you achieve a significant victory or success on your Quest? mark a Milestone and XP, once it's been marked 3 times you earn a Milestone. a Milestone can used as an automatic 2 successes on a task related to your Quests theme, or to be presented a golden opportunity to work engage the Quest (Examples: someone tells you the legend of a big treasure you can start tracking down, lead on a business deal that would impress your family back home)
- Did you ignore or act against your Quest? mark an Abandon, once it's been marked 3 times you need to replace the Quest with a new one and mark XP once the new Quest is established
